My Happy Place Quilts provides longarm quilting services for quilt makers who have completed a quilt top and need help with the quilting step.
Our service is Edge to Edge quilting: one continuous quilting design stitched across the full quilt top.
Every quilt top represents time, fabric, and care. Our goal is to help move your project from quilt top to finished quilt with clear communication and thoughtful stitching. We do this because we love it!
How it started...
I have been sewing all my life—making clothes, crafts, and, of course, fixing my kids' clothes—and about ten years ago I discovered the joy of quilting. It started as a small project to make my kids quilts from their favorite T-shirts, and it grew from there.
The one problem I ran into pretty quickly was: once I made my quilt top, how did I get it quilted? I was lucky enough to get a small “starter” longarm machine and frame setup. With that setup, I learned ruler work and freehand quilting. Pretty soon, I realized I needed a larger longarm and frame to handle bigger quilts.
...where it led!
That led me to invest in a BERNINA Longarm Q Series machine and frame with the Q-matic Quilting Automation system. The difference was immediate: the quilting finally matched the care, quality, and love I put into making the tops.
I realized that not every quilter has access to this type of longarm quilting, and I wanted to provide a service for those of us who want our quilts finished in a beautiful, thoughtful way. From that first venture into quilting, My Happy Place Quilts was born!
